Have you ever looked in the mirror and felt like your skin was tired, dull and lackluster? If so, then you have come to the right place. Microdermabrasion is one of the most popular anti-aging skin treatments. Known for it's immediate results and affordable price, microdermabrasion is a perfect treatment for any skin type. It is a noninvasive, non-surgical procedure that offers safe and effective removal of the outer, dead layers of the skin. The procedure utilizes medical grade micro crystals that are propelled at a high speed against the surface of the skin, leaving you with softer, brighter and smoother skin.

FAQ's

Am I a candidate for microdermabrasion?

Most everyone is able to receive microdermabrasion treatments. The most ideal candidate is someone with a busy schedule that does not allow for any prolonged downtime needed for chemcial peels and laser resurfacing. Patients concerned with aging, fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots, large pores, acne and acne scarring are all perfect candidates for microdermabrasion!

How does Microdermabrasion Work?

In addition to removing the dead, outer layers of the skin, the application of the micro crystals and vacuum suction actually stimulates blood flow to the surface of the skin. This stimulation enhances the oxygenation of the skin, inhibiiting the re-growth of collagen and the renewal of skin cells.

What should I expect after my treatment?

Your skin will apear slightly pink in color, and will feel mildly irritated (as if you had been in the sun or out on a windy day). The pink appearance and irritation will resolve in a few hours or by the end of the day, depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment. Results are noticeable after the first treatment. A sunscreen is required on a daily basis and you are asked to avoid all sun exposure for at least 24 hours, as the treated area will initially be more sensitive to the ultra violet rays of the sun. Otherwise, normal activities may be resumed immediately.

How many treatments will I need?

Your licensed Aesthetician will make a recommendation to you regarding the number of treatments that may required to achieve the results you have in mind. Treatments are usually performed in a series of six, with each being performed two weeks apart. Your personal skin care goals will determine the amount of treatments needed. Following the initial series, most will choose to have maintenance treatments every four to six weeks.
